Xenia Stad-de Jong (born March 4, 1922 in Semarang , Dutch East Indies , † April 3, 2012 in Zoetermeer ) was a Dutch athlete .

Career

She celebrated her greatest success in 1948 at the Olympic Games in London . Together with Nettie Witziers-Timmer , Gerda van der Kade-Koudijs and the flying housewife Fanny Blankers-Koen , she became Olympic champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay race . She also took part in the individual race over 100 meters . There she was eliminated in the semifinals.

Two years after her Olympic victory, she became vice European champion at the European Championships in Brussels in 1950 as a member of the Dutch 4 x 100 meter relay.
