Élodie Ouédraogo

Élodie Ouédraogo (born February 27, 1981 in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode / Sint-Joost-ten-Node ) is a former Belgian sprinter of Burkinabe descent. She has been a Belgian citizen since 2000.

Career

At the Athletics Junior World Championships in 2000, she took part in the 100-meter hurdles for Burkina Faso and set a national record of 13.87 seconds that lasted until 2007.

With the Belgian 4 x 100 meter relay , she finished sixth in the finals of the 2004 Olympic Games in a national record time of 43.08 seconds.

At the Universiade 2005 in Izmir , she won her first medal in an individual discipline in a major international competition with the bronze medal over 200 m in 23.62 seconds.

In 2007 she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Osaka with the 4 x 100 meter relay in the line-up of Olivia Borlée , Hanna Mariën , Ouédraogo and Kim Gevaert in the Belgian national record time of 42.75 seconds.

The same team they won at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing by-100-meter relay 4 with a new national record in 42.54 seconds with the Belgian gold medal .
