Evelyn Furtsch

Evelyn Furtsch (born April 17, 1914 in San Diego , California - † March 5, 2015 ) was an American athlete and Olympic champion .

At the X. Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , she won the gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay race together with her teammates Mary Carew , Annette Rogers and Wilhelmina von Bremen in front of the team from Canada and the team from Great Britain .

With a height of 1.57 m, her competition weight was 43 kg.

Furtsch was the last surviving gold medalist at the 1932 Olympic Games.
