Jekaterina Wassiljewna Grigorjewa ( Russian Екатерина Васильевна Григорьева , English transcription Yekaterina Grigoryeva, née Лещёва - Leschtschowa - Leshchyova - Leshchyova / Leshcheva ; born April 21, 1974 ) is a Russian sprinter in Volgogradin .

At the World Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 , she reached the semi-finals over 100 meters . The following year she was part of the Russian team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta , which came fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1997 she was fifth over 60 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Paris . At the World Championships in Athens she was fourth over 200 meters and fifth with the Russian relay. Shortly afterwards, she won gold over 200 meters at the Universiade . At the European Indoor Championships in Ghent in 2000 , she won bronze over the same distance.

In 2001 she was eliminated from the World Championships in Edmonton in the prerun over 200 meters. Because she tested positive for a prohibited substance during the doping control , she was disqualified and banned for two years.

She married the sprinter Andrei Grigoryev and returned to competition in 2004. In 2006 she won silver over 200 meters at the European Championships in Gothenburg and gold in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the Russian team. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka , she was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
