Odiah Sidibé

Odiah Sidibé (born January 13, 1970 in Fréjus ) is a former French sprinter .

At the international level, she made her first appearance at the 1990 European Championships in Split . There she was fifth in the 100-meter run in 11.40 s. Sidibé was particularly successful as a relay runner. With the French 4 x 100 meter relay , she finished fourth both at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and at the 1993 World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , she was sixth in the season and reached the semi-finals in the 100-meter run.

She celebrated one of the greatest successes of her career at the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton . There she won the last runner in the relay together with Sylviane Félix , Frédérique Bangué and Muriel Hurtis in 42.39 s, the silver medal behind the German quartet. In 2002 she won the relay gold medal at the European Championships in Munich . In the line-up of Delphine Combe , Muriel Hurtis, Sylviane Félix, Odiah Sidibé, the French women beat the seasons from Germany and Russia in 42.46 s . In the 100-meter run, Sidibé finished seventh in 11.57 s.

At the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003 she was nominated again for the French 4 x 100 meter relay, but was not used when they won the title.

Odiah Sidibé was 1.76 m tall and had a competition weight of 64 kg.
