Imani-Lara Lansiquot (born December 17, 1997 in Peckham ) is a British sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run .

Athletic career

Imani Lansiquot gained her first international experience in 2014 at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she did not reach the finish with the British 4 x 100 meter relay in the lead. The following year she finished fifth over 100 meters at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna in 11.74 s and won the relay in 44.18 s. In 2016 she took part in the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz and was fourth there in 11.37 s, as well as at the U23 European Championships the following year, which also took place in Bydgoszcz and in which Lansiquot crossed the finish line after 11.58 s. In 2018 she qualified for the first time for the European Championships in Berlin , where she finished sixth in 11.14 seconds. In addition, she was named European champion with the relay in 41.88 m. Then she finished second with the European team at the Continental Cup in Ostrava . At the 2019 World Championships in Doha , she made it to the semi-finals over 100 meters and was eliminated there with 11.35 seconds. In addition, she was used with the relay in the run-up and thus contributed to winning the silver medal of the British team.
