The 17th European Athletics Junior Championships for athletes under 20 years of age ( U20 for short ) took place from July 23 to 27, 2003 in the Ratina Stadium in Tampere ( Finland ). Competition results can be found under web links.

Attendees

792 athletes from 45 nations took part, which was a new record attendance. The DLV nominated 82 athletes and was able to occupy three starting places in many disciplines for the first time.
