James Ellington ( James Lee Ellington; born September 6, 1985 in the London Borough of Lewisham ) is a British sprinter .

At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu , he was eliminated over 200 meters in the preliminary run.

In 2012, at the European Championships in Helsinki with the British team in the final of the 4 x 100 meter relay, he did not finish and did not get past the first round over 200 meters at the Olympic Games in London .

At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, he reached the semi-finals over 200 meters and was disqualified with the British quartet in the final of the 4 x 100 meter relay.

In 2014 he was eliminated from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow over 200 meters in the semi-finals and won silver with the English 4 x 100 meter relay. At the European Championships in Zurich there was another semi-final over 200 meters, but he won the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British team.

At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, he did not finish with the British 4 x 100 meter relay in the final. In 2016 he defended the European title in Amsterdam with the British relay.

In 2011, 2012 and 2013 he was British Champion.
