Kostantyn Rurak

Kostjantyn Mychajlowytsch Rurak ( Ukrainian Костянтин Михайлович Рурак , English transcription Kostyantyn Rurak ; born April 9, 1974 in Chelyabinsk , Russian Soviet Republic , Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian sprinter .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters and took fourth place with the Ukrainian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay . Four years later at the Olympic Games in Sydney he was eliminated again in the quarterfinals over 100 meters.

At the European Championships in Munich in 2002 he reached the semi-finals over 100 meters and was part of the 4 x 100 meter relay for the Ukrainian team, which won the gold medal after the disqualification of the British relay. At the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , he was eliminated over 100 meters in the lead.

He was national champion over 100 meters four times (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003) and once over 200 meters (2002).
