Egon Schein

Egon Schein (born January 20, 1912 in Kiel , † February 14, 1977 in Hamburg ) was a German athlete and Olympic participant.

At the European Championships in 1934 he won the gold medal with the 4 x 100 meter relay in 41.0 s. The order of the relay runners was Egon Schein, Erwin Gillmeister , Gerd Hornberger , Erich Borchmeyer .

Egon Schein started in the 1936 Olympic Games in the 200-meter run and retired after the preliminary run.

Schein belonged to the sports club Hamburger SV , for which he won a total of five German championship titles, in 1934 and 1936 over the 200 m and in 1931, 1933 and 1934 with the club's 4-by-400-meter relay .
