Olle Laessker

Olle Laessker ( April 2, 1922 - September 19, 1992 ) was a Swedish athlete who started for Jönköpings AIF and Gävle SGF .

Olle Laessker's career lasted from 1942 to 1947. In 1946 and 1947 he was the Swedish long jump champion . On July 18, 1946, he set a Swedish record with 7.50 m.

The first European championships after World War II took place in Oslo from August 22nd to 25th, 1946 and the Swedish athletes were the most successful participants. Olle Laessker won the long jump competition with 7.42 m and two centimeters ahead of the Swiss Lucien Graff . On the final day, the Swedish 4 x 100 meter relay with the line-up of Stig Danielsson , Inge Nilsson , Olle Laessker and Stig Håkansson won in 41.5 s ahead of the French relay (42.0 s). While there were three double winners among the women with Fanny Blankers-Koen , Gerda Koudijs and Evgenija Setschenowa , Olle Laessker was the only double European champion in 1946.
