Alain Sarteur
Alain Sarteur (born June 17, 1946 in Plailly ) is a former French sprinter .
He experienced the high point of his international career at the European Championships in Athens in 1969 . As the starting runner of the French team in the 4 x 100 meter relay , he celebrated winning the title together with Patrick Bourbeillon , Gérard Fenouil and François Saint-Gilles before the relay from the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. In addition, he won the silver medal in the 100-meter run behind the later Olympic champion Valerij Borsow from the Soviet Union and ahead of the Swiss European champion over 200 meters Philippe Clerc .
At the European Indoor Championships in Vienna in 1970 he was fourth over 60 meters . At the 1972 Olympic Games , he was eliminated over 100 meters in the semi-finals.
In 1970 and 1972 he was French champion over 100 meters, 1973 and 1975 French indoor champion over 60 meters.
