Jocelyn Delecour

Jocelyn Delecour (born January 2, 1935 in Tourcoing ) is a former French athlete .

Delecour competed in the Olympic Games in Melbourne as early as 1956 . With the French 4 x 100 meter relay , he was eliminated in the semifinals in 41.3 s after 40.8 s in the run-up.

In Stockholm at the European Championships in 1958 , he was fourth in the 100-meter run in 10.5 s . In the 200-meter run he won bronze in 21.3 s and finished fifth in the relay in 41.0 s.

His second Olympic participation took place in Rome in 1960 : Delecour was eliminated over 100 and over 200 meters in the quarter-finals. The relay was disqualified in advance.

At the European Championships in Belgrade in 1962 , he won over 100 meters in 10.4 s silver behind his compatriot Claude Piquemal . In the 200-meter run, Delecour was fourth in 21.0 s. The relay also only finished fourth in 40.0 s.

In the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo Delecour was the third time at the start. With 21.2 s he was eliminated over 200 meters in the semifinals. With the relay he won bronze in 39.3 s behind the relay from the USA and Poland . In the season Paul Genevay , Bernard Laidebeur , Piquemal and Delecour were in action.

At the age of 31, Jocelyn Delecour only competed in the relay at the European Championships in Budapest in 1966 . In the line-up of Marc Berger , Jocelyn Delecour, Claude Piquemal and Roger Bambuck , the French season won in 39.4 s before the season from the Soviet Union .

Delecour competed for the fourth time at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City . In the 100-meter run, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals after 10.36 s. The French relay team in the line-up Gérard Fenouil , Delecour, Piquemal and Bambuck won bronze in 38.43 s.

With a height of 1.75 m, Delecour's competition weight was 65 kg.
