Paul Genevay

Paul Genevay (born January 21, 1939 in La Côte-Saint-André ) is a former French sprinter .

At the Mediterranean Games in 1959, he won silver over 100 m and gold over 200 m . In the following year he reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 over 200 m and retired with the French team in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.

Four years later he retired from the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo over 200 m again in the semifinals. In the 4 x 100 meter relay, he won the bronze medal with the French quartet in the line-up of Genevay, Bernard Laidebeur , Claude Piquemal and Jocelyn Delecour .

In 1960 he was French champion over 200 m, in 1959 and 1964 runner-up.
