Allyn Condon

Allyn Condon (born August 24, 1974 in Whiston , Knowsley ) is a former British sprinter who was active as a bobsleigh driver after his athletics career .

At the Junior World Championships in 1992 in Seoul , he won the 4-by-100-meter relay , at the Junior European Championships in 1993 in San Sebastián in the 4-by-100 and in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1998 he won the European Championships in Budapest with the British 4 x 100 meter relay. At the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur he reached the semifinals for England starting over 200 meters .

In 1999 he won bronze with the British 4 x 400 meter relay at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi . At the World Championships in Seville he was used in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay and thus contributed to winning the silver medal for the British team. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he was part of the British 4 x 100 meter relay, which was eliminated in the preliminary run.

In 2001 he was fifth over 200 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon . At the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002 , he won the English 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2003 he was disqualified in the final over 200 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham because of two false starts.

In 1999 he became English indoor champion over 400 meters , in 2001 and 2003 over 200 meters.

In 2006 he switched to bobsleigh. His greatest success in the new discipline was a fifth place in the four-man bobsleigh at the 2007 Bobsleigh World Championship in St. Moritz. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished 17th with the British four-man bobsleigh.
