Max Klauss

Max Klauß (born July 27, 1947 in Siegmar-Schönau ) is a German athlete and Olympic participant who - starting for the GDR - was successful as a long jumper in the 1960s and 1970s . His greatest success is the victory at the European Championships in 1971 , for which he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

Max Klauß initially belonged to the SC Karl-Marx-Stadt , later to the SC Einheit Dresden . In his playing days he was 1.85 m tall and weighed 85 kg.
