Dmitri Vyacheslavovich Bagryanov

Dmitri Vjatscheslawowitsch Bagrjanow ( Russian Дмитрий Вячеславович Багрянов , English transcription Dmitriy Bagryanov ; born December 18, 1967 in Moscow ; † February 4, 2015 ibid) was a Russian long jumper .

In 1991 he was starting seventh for the Soviet Union at the World Athletics Championships in Seville and was eliminated from the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo without a valid attempt.

The following year he won as part of the United Team at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Genoa and was seventh at the Olympic Games in Barcelona .

In 1994 he was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Paris and fifth at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki .

Both outdoors and indoors he was the Soviet champion in 1991, the Commonwealth of Independent States champion in 1992 and the Russian champion in 1994.
