Julija Sjarhejeuna Leanzjuk ( Belarusian Юлія Сяргееўна Леанцюк , English transcription Yuliya Leantsiuk ; born January 31, 1984 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian shot putter .

Athletic career

In 2001 she won the bronze medal at the World Youth Championships in Debrecen, Hungary . In 2002 she finished seventh at the 2002 World Junior Athletics Championships in Kingston, Jamaica . In 2007 she became national indoor champion and fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham . In 2008 she was tested positive for testosterone in a doping control during the European Athletics Cup and was banned for two years for this violation of the doping regulations .

After her comeback season in 2013, she finished seventh at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot in 2014 and qualified for the European Championships in Zurich in August of the same year. She finished in fourth place with a pushed 18.68 m. In the 2015 indoor season, she secured the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Prague behind Hungarian Anita Márton . At the World Championships in Beijing , she was seventh. At the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam in 2016 , she finished fourth again. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated in qualification .

In 2017 Leanzjuk qualified for the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade and won the bronze medal there.
