Véronique Mang
Véronique Mang (born December 15, 1984 in Douala ) is a French sprinter of Cameroonian origin.
In 1995, at the age of 11, she moved to France with her mother. A year later she started running. She started for Cameroon until 2003, then, since she had French citizenship, for France. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she won the team bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with her teammates Muriel Hurtis , Sylviane Félix and Christine Arron . In the 100-meter run of these Olympic Games, she was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
In 2006 she came to the semi-finals at the European Championships in Gothenburg over 100 m.
After barely taking part in competitions in 2008 and 2009, she was in top form in 2010 and won the silver medal over 100 m at the European Championships in Barcelona, just 0.01 seconds behind the winner, Verena Sailer .
Véronique Mang is 1.73 m tall and weighs 59 kg. She is currently starting for the Entente Franconville Cesame Val d'Oise and is trained by Olivier Marchand.
