Ancuța Bobocel (born October 3, 1987 in Drobeta Turnu Severin , Mehedinți district ) is a Romanian athlete who specializes in obstacle courses .

She attracted attention early on in the junior sector. At the European Junior Championships in Tampere in 2003, she won the silver medal in the 2000-meter obstacle course when she was only 15 years old. The following year she was second in both the junior women’s race at the European Cross Country Championships in Heringsdorf and in the 3000 meter obstacle course at the Junior World Championships in Grosseto. In 2005 she even managed to win the junior women's race at the European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg. She also won silver medals in obstacle running at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Beijing and at the U23 European Athletics Championships in 2007 in Debrecen.

At the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 2007 , Bobocel competed internationally in the adult division for the first time. In the 3000-meter run , she finished eleventh. In contrast, she was eliminated in the obstacle course at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and at the Olympic Games in Beijing in the preliminary round. At the European Indoor Championships in Turin in 2009 , she was eighth over 3000 m. In the same year she missed the final in the obstacle course at the World Championships in Berlin . She also took part in the London 2012 Olympics and the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Bobocel was Romanian champion in 2008 and runner-up behind Cristina Casandra in 2009 in the obstacle course.

Ancuța Bobocel is 1.65 m tall and has a competition weight of 49 kg. She started first for the CSA Turnu Severin and later for the athletics department of Dinamo Bucharest .
