Comitetul Olimpic și Sportiv Român
The Comitetul Olimpic și Sportiv Român (short: COSR) is the national Olympic committee in Romania .
history
It was founded in 1914 under the name "Comitetul Olimpic Român". In 1924 Romania took part in the Olympic Games for the first time in Paris . Since then, Romania has participated in all games except the 1932 and 1948 Summer Games and the 1960 Winter Games . Romania also took part in the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles , despite the boycott of most of the communist states in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. In 2004 the name was changed to "Comitetul Olimpic și Sportiv Român".
