The Olympic Committee of Serbia ( Serbian Олимпијски Комитет Србије / Olimpijski Komitet Srbije ) is organized by both the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), European Olympic Committee (EOC), Association of the Balkans National Olympic Committees (ABNOC), European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), European Non-Governmental Sports Organization (ENGSO), as direct successor to the Olympic Committee of Yugoslavia (JOK) (until April 3, 2003) and the Olympic Committee of Serbia and Montenegro (OKSCG ) (until June 8, 2006). The chairman of the committee is Ivan Ćurković .

history

On February 10th, Jul. / February 23, 1910 greg. the Serbian Olympic Club was established (Српски олимпијски Клуб), one year later it became the Central Olympic Club (Централни олимпијски Клуб) and on July 4th jul. / July 17, 1912 greg. renamed the Olympic Committee of Serbia. During the congress of the International Olympic Committee in Stockholm from July 4th to 17th, 1912 , the Olympic Committee of Serbia was named an IOC member. Major Svetomir Đukić was the founder of the Olympic movement in Serbia and director of the Serbian Olympic Club. He also led the first delegation of athletes to the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm.
