The Polski Komitet Olimpijski (PKOl) is the National Olympic Committee in Poland with its seat in Warsaw .
history
The committee was founded on October 12, 1919 and was accepted as a member of the International Olympic Committee that same year . The first participation in the Olympics was planned for the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 , but these plans were abandoned again due to the Polish-Soviet War . Poland therefore only made its debut at the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix and also took part in the Paris Summer Games in the same year .
