organization

Some sports are represented in BOIK by up to four different, partly regionally organized member associations (e.g. the German-speaking , French and Flemish communities as well as at the federal level), for example skiing by the Federation Francophone Belge de Ski , the East Belgian Ski and Winter Sports Association , the Vlaamse Ski en Snowboard Federatie and the Royal Belgian Ski Association . Other sports are represented by a single all-Belgian federation, such as football by the Royal Belgian Football Association .

Jacques Rogge was President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee from 1989 to 1992.
