Melanie Seeger (born January 8, 1977 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German walker .

In 1999 Melanie Seeger won the bronze medal in the 20 km walk at the U23 European Championships . Since 2001 she has started at all major events in 20 km walking. Only at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin did she not start because of a baby break. At the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona she was fourth. Due to the doping disqualification of the winner Olga Kaniskina, she subsequently moved up to the bronze rank.

In 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007 Melanie Seeger was German indoor champion. She is in possession of the German record over 3000 meters in 11: 50.48 min. In the open air she won the 5000-meter track walking from 2001 to 2004, as well as over 20 kilometers from 2001 to 2003 at the German championships.

Her best performance over 20 kilometers from 2004 is 1:28:17 h.

With a height of 1.69 m, she has a competition weight of 56 kg. She is a teacher at a European school in Belgium.
