The Sindelfingen Glass Palace is a sports and event hall in Baden-Württemberg in the west of Sindelfingen . It was built according to plans by the architect Günter Behnisch and opened in 1977. The Sindelfingen Glass Palace was awarded the Hugo Häring Award in 1977 by the Baden-Württemberg State Association of the Federation of German Architects (BDA). The maximum total capacity of the hall is 5,250 people. The space available includes the arena with around 3,400 m², a side hall mainly used as a judo hall with 414 m² and the Otto Welker Hall with 130 m². The total enclosed space is 67,000 m³. There is also a bowling alley with eight lanes in the Glass Palace. In 2003 an extension with another judo hall, a weight room and additional changing rooms was completed. In February 2016, the Glass Palace was placed under a preservation order.
The hall is mainly used for sporting events and also for trade fairs, congresses and concerts. The Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup takes place annually in the Glaspalast.
At the international indoor athletics meeting that took place in the Glaspalast every year until 2003, Colin Jackson set the still current world record over 60 m hurdles for men in 7.3 seconds.
National and international darts tournaments take place regularly in the Glaspalast, including the European Darts Trophy .
