The 60th German Indoor Athletics Championships took place on February 23 and 24 in the Helmut-Körnig-Halle in Dortmund . Dortmund hosted for the fifteenth time. The event was sold out on both days.
Christina Schwanitz won the shot put with a world best of the year.
Outsourced competitions
The all-round competitions and walking competitions were held on January 26th and 27th in the athletics hall in Frankfurt-Kalbach at the German indoor all-round championships and the German indoor walking championships. The 3 x 1000 meter relay competed on February 17th as part of the German Youth Indoor Championships in Halle (Saale).
