Inna Weit (born August 5, 1988 in Pavlodar , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former German athlete who specialized in the sprint courses.

career path

Weit completed training as a physiotherapist and works in a physiotherapy practice in Paderborn.

Athletic career

At the age of six, Weit came to Germany with her family. She got into athletics through the National Youth Games .

The 200-meter sprinter started the 2012 Olympic year with a best time of 24.08 seconds. In the DLV Olympic qualification competition in Mannheim, she achieved a new personal 200-meter best time of 23.08 seconds, which is below the norm for the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki. At the German Championships in Bochum - Wattenscheid in 2012 she was the title holder over 200 meters with 23.52 s. At the European Championships she reached the semifinals. In 2013 she won the German championship title again in Ulm in 23.16 seconds .

Weit is 1.71 m tall and had a competition weight of 58 kg. She ended her career in October 2017 at the age of 29; in the previous summer season she had switched to the 400 m and finished fifth at the German Championships in Erfurt .

Club affiliations

First, Weit was at TSV Schloß Neuhaus and at the age of eleven switched to LC Paderborn , for which she started until 2015. She was trained by Thomas Prange for over ten years. At the beginning of 2016 she switched to ART Düsseldorf . On January 1, 2017, she returned to LC Paderborn.
