Cagno is a fraction of the Italian commune ( comune ) Solbiate con Cagno in the province of Como , Lombardy region .
geography
The place is about 13 kilometers west of Como and about 6.5 kilometers east of Varese in the Italian pre-Alps and borders directly on the province of Varese . The small river Rio Ranza runs north of the village.
history
Cagno was until 2018 an independent municipality and joined on 1 January 2019 the neighboring municipality Solbiate the new municipality Solbiate con Cagno together. The districts of Brughiera and Rocca also belonged to the municipality of Solbiate.
