Matthias Haverney

Matthias Haverney (born July 21, 1985 ) is a German high jumper . He was German champion in 2013 outdoors and in 2005 and 2013 in the hall.

In 2004 Haverney was nominated for the U20 World Championships , where he finished 10th. A year later he was fifth at the U23 European Championships . In the following years he achieved several podium finishes at German championships and won the title three times. In 2013 he qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg , where he was eliminated in qualification.

His best performance is 2.28 m, which he set up on July 24, 2011 at the German Championships .

Haverney starts for Dresdner SC , his trainer is Jörg Elbe. He is a federal police officer .
