Soccer men / juniors
In the 2006/07 season, the men's team at VfL Sindelfingen was promoted to the Württemberg Association League by becoming champions of the Württemberg State League Season 3. For the first time in over ten years, the men's team of VfL Sindelfingen became the highest-ranking team in the Böblingen district . In 2008/09 the return to the regional league took place after the decisive relegation match against 1. Göppinger SV was lost. 2012/2013 one was champion in the 3rd season of the state league, which means promotion to the association league.
In earlier years the men were quite successful. In 1950 they were promoted to the 1st Wuerttemberg Amateur League, the top amateur league at the time, and as a newcomer they became vice-champions in 1951. In 1953 they were even sovereign champions, but renounced the promotion round to the 2nd League South and instead took part in the German amateur championship. In the next few years the positions 4, 3, then twice the 7th place were reached before it went down. After three 13th place, they reached 2nd place again in 1961 in the now two-part 1st Amateur League North Württemberg. In the next four years, 7th place and 5th place were reached twice, before it went down again with ranks between 10 and 13. After a more changeable three years, in which they fluctuated between 5th and 12th place, VfL got down in 1973 from the top amateur league, the third highest division in German men's football at the time. Since then, VfL has never been promoted to such high leagues again, although in the first few years after relegation the promotion was only just missed several times. The 1st men's team of VfL Sindelfingen became champions in the state league, season 3 in the 2012/13 season, and thus achieved promotion to the Württemberg association league. However, they only stayed there for one season, while in 2015 they immediately returned to the association league as season 3 national league champions.
