The 2010/11 season is the seventh season of the women's second division . The season began on August 15, 2010. The last match day was May 1, 2011. 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig and SC Freiburg secured promotion to the Bundesliga. The second team of Hamburger SV that is not eligible for promotion to the Bundesliga became champions of the northern group . A few days after the end of the season, the team was disbanded for financial reasons, so the relegation games were canceled.
