The FV Löchgau (full name: Fußballverein Löchgau 1946 eV ) is a soccer club from the Württemberg Löchgau . The association was founded on November 16, 1946. The women's team played in the 2nd Bundesliga South from 2008 to 2012 . The men play in the national league.
Women
In 1980 a department for women and girls' football was established. In 2005 the women of FV Löchgau became champions of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for the first time . Since the club did not apply for a license for the 2nd Bundesliga, the team was not allowed to participate in the promotion games. In 2006, winning the league championship was repeated. After they failed in the promotion round at SC Regensburg , the club's women's team has since played in the Regionalliga Süd . In 2008 the team finally made it to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2011/12 season, the team was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga and had to move to the top division in 2018.

Men
The first men's team of FV Löchgau played in 2016/17 for one season in the Württemberg Association . The current league is the national league.
In the 2015/16 season, the men became champions of the regional league season 1 and were promoted to the association league for the first time in their history. However, on the last day of the match they slipped to a direct relegation zone, so the class could not be maintained.
In the following year, the 2017/18 season, the men of FV Löchgau were able to secure the relegation place and were promoted back to the association league after several relegation games.

youth
FV Löchgau gained notoriety beyond the district through its youth work. With Julian and Robin Schuster , Marco Pischorn and Benedikt Röcker , four former Löchgau players have already switched to the professional field. Another great success came in spring 2008. With Jana Blessing , FV Löchgau is providing a selection player in the junior division of the DFB for the first time .
In the 2018/19 season, the B-Juniors of FV Löchgau with coach Marco Bärschneider became champions of the EnBW-Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. In the relegation round they prevailed against MSG Bad Vilbel (1: 1) and TSV Schwaben Augsburg (3: 2) and thus played for the first time in the B-Juniorinnen Bundesliga Süd / Südwest in the 2019/20 season.
