Julia Zirnstein (born January 13, 1990 in Schwetzingen ) is a former German soccer player .

Personal

Zirnstein grew up in Brühl . At the age of 16 she switched to the sports boarding school in Freiburg and attended the Rotteck-Gymnasium . Then she began training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk .

Soccer

At the age of four she started playing soccer with the boys' bambini of FV Brühl. In the absence of a girls' team, she moved to Spvgg 06 Ketsch in 2000 and before the 2006/07 season she moved to the first division club SC Freiburg . After over 100 games in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga for Freiburg, Zirnstein left the club in summer 2012 for SC Sand , where she ended her active career in summer 2016.

Zirnstein went through the U-15 and U-17 national teams. Between 2006 and 2012 Zirnstein was a regular member of the selection of the South Baden Football Association.
