Team in the elite round of the Euro 2016

The German national soccer team of U-17 women represents Germany in international women's soccer . The national team was founded in 1992 as the U-16 national team. The age limit of 17 years has existed since summer 2001. The team is trained by Friederike Kromp .

The German selection became European champions in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 , making them the record European champions. In 2010 and 2011 they won the game for third place at the European Championships. Only in 2013 the final round was not reached. It is the only European team that was able to qualify for all six world championships. At the first World Cup in 2008, she reached third place. In 2014, she was the first German women's national team to be eliminated in the preliminary round of a World Cup.
