Sophie Weidauer (born February 10, 2002 in Stollberg / Erzgeb. ) Is a German soccer player .
Career
The striker began her career at SV Tanne Thalheim and later moved to FC Erzgebirge Aue . At the age of twelve, Weidauer then moved to the youth department of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . In 2018 she moved up to the squad of the second team that competes in the 2nd Bundesliga . With 13 goals in 18 games in the 2018/19 season , Weidauer recommended himself for a place in the first team. On August 16, 2019, Weidauer had her first Bundesliga appearance in the 3-2 defeat at 1. FFC Frankfurt .
Sophie Weidauer took part in the U-17 European Championships twice. At the 2018 tournament, she and her team lost 2-0 to Spain in the final. A year later , Weidauer and her team beat the Netherlands on penalties . In addition, Sophie Weidauer took part in the U-17 World Cup in Uruguay in 2018 , where the German team failed in the quarter-finals to Canada.
