Vanessa Fischer (born April 18, 1998 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German soccer player . She plays for the Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the position of goalkeeper .

Career

In 2011, Fischer moved from 1. FC Frankfurt to the youth department of 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. She was used for Potsdam's B-Juniors from 2012 in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga and won the German championship in 2015 after becoming German runners-up the previous season after losing 1-0 in the final against Bayern Munich . Fischer was already part of the Bundesliga squad in the 2014/15 season , but was the third goalkeeper behind Anna Felicitas Sarholz and Wang Fei, but still without a league appearance. In the DFB Cup , however, she was twice against Germania Hauenhorst (2nd round) and Herford SV (round of 16) between the posts and was also used eight times for Potsdam's second team in the 2nd Bundesliga North .

In the opening game of the 2015/16 season on August 28, 2015, she finally made her Bundesliga debut against FC Bayern Munich, the game was lost 3-1. On the 13th matchday of the season, she played her second Bundesliga appearance against SC Freiburg (0-2).

National team

After playing for the U-15 national team in November 2012, Fischer was part of the U-16 national team in 2014, which won the Nordic Cup in Sweden . A year later she took part with the U-17 national team at the European Championship in Iceland , was there in three of the four games and reached the semi-finals with the team, which was lost 1-0 to the Swiss selection.
