The B-Juniors Bundesliga is the top German division for female U-17 - Football teams . The league was founded in 2012. Forerunners of the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga were the B-Juniorinnen-regional leagues in the regional associations West and Southwest, which existed since the season 2009/10, or the highest leagues of the state associations in the other regional associations.

Ten teams each start in the three seasons North / Northeast (five teams each from the respective regional associations), West / Southwest (eight and two teams from the respective regional associations) and South. The participating teams qualified for the new national league through the regional associations.
Each team plays twice against all other teams of its relay; once at your own place and once away. Six teams are promoted to the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga every year. Within the regional associations South, West / Southwest and North / Northeast, two climbers are determined. At the end of the game round, the two clubs with the lowest number of points and the worst placement in the table of each of the three seasons of the U-17 junior Bundesliga are relegated to the next lower division of the associated regional or national association.
Their respective three season winners and one of the runners-up (determined according to the playing times; see below) play the games as part of a final round of the German U-17 Women's Junior Championship in the semi-finals in a home and away game; afterwards the final takes place.
In the 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons, the winners of the three seasons of the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga and the runner-up in the season south (2012/13), west / south-west (2013/14), or North / Northeast (2014/15) for the final round of the German U-17 women's championship. As of the 2015/16 season, the winners of the three seasons as well as a runner-up in the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga, which is determined according to a specific point system set out in the DFB youth regulations, qualify for the final round.
The second of the season that had the most successful participants in the final round in three previous seasons qualifies. A relay team receives three points in the performance table for the German championship, two points for participation in the final and one point for an inferior semi-finalist. In relation to the relay, which has two participants, only the points of the best placed are counted. If two seasons have the same number of points, the result of the previous season decides.
