The 2016/17 season of the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga was the fifth season of the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga . The season began on September 3, 2016. The game was played in three seasons with ten teams each. At the end of the season, the three season winners and the second of the north season play for the German championship . The last two teams of the three seasons relegated to the subordinate leagues.
The Bayern Munich secured the championship by a 2: 1-final victory over 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . For the Munich women it was the third German championship title.
Season north / northeast
The reigning German champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam secured the relay championship for the fourth time in five years. Promoted Hertha Zehlendorf and 1. FC Union Berlin had to relegate.

Ascent round north
The Osnabrücker SC rose from the area of the North German Football Association . Osnabrück was runner-up in the Lower Saxony league behind TSG Ahlten . Holstein Kiel and SV Henstedt-Ulzburg from Schleswig-Holstein withdrew their applications.

Blau-Weiß Hohen Neuendorf rises from the area of the Northeast German Football Association .
Season west / southwest
For the first time, 1. FC Köln secured the season title. Defending champion FSV Gütersloh 2009 came third. The relegation places were occupied by 1. FC Saarbrücken and VfL Bochum. Since TSV Schott Mainz withdrew its team, the Saarbrücken women fell in love with the Bundesliga. The game Gütersloh against Mainz was rated 2-0 for Gütersloh because the Mainz women had not started.
