Blau-Weiss Hohen Neuendorf (full name: Sportverein Blau-Weiss Hohen Neuendorf eV ) is a football club from the Brandenburg town of Hohen Neuendorf . The first women's team currently plays in the Regionalliga Nordost , the first men's team plays in the Berlin regional league.

history

Football has been played in the Vorwärts and Fichte clubs since the beginning of the 20th century . Although Hohen Neuendorf is located in today's Brandenburg , both clubs played in Berlin leagues. After the end of the Second World War , both clubs were merged into the municipal sports group TSG Vorwärts . This changed its name first to Turbine Wasserwerke and later to BSG WAB (water treatment and wastewater treatment) Stolpe / Hohen Neuendorf . After reunification , the association took its current name. The club's venue is the “Niederheide” sports complex. The facility includes two grass pitches and one artificial turf pitch. The new sports function building was officially inaugurated on November 13, 2009.

Sporting development

The women's team rose in 2003 to the then second-class Regionalliga Nordost . In the following years, the team always finished in a better place in the table than in the previous year. After third place in the 2006/07 season they became runner-up a year later. Since the second team of the FF USV Jena had not registered for the 2nd Bundesliga, the runner-up was promoted. On the last day of the match Hohen Neuendorf met the promoted team and direct competitor 1. FC Lübars . In front of 1,100 spectators, Lübars led 1-0 after the 76th minute of the game and would have been promoted. Diana Liebrecht scored the equalizer in the second minute of stoppage time, which allowed Hohen Neuendorf to gain promotion.

With the end of the season, the captain Eva-Maria Gesang was also voted Berlin amateur soccer player of the year 2008 by the sports department of the soccer week . In the second division season 2008/09 the relegation was managed straight away. With 24 points, with a goal difference of 29:41, the team ranked eighth in the table at the end of the season. After seven match days in the 2009/10 season, the function team around head coach Martin Schalow resigned. So far they have only been one point in the last place in the 2nd Bundesliga North. Since then, club host Michael Rossbach has acted as an interim solution.

After a two-year interlude in the 2nd Bundesliga , the women's team had to accept relegation to the regional league . For the 2010/11 season, the club presented a new coach, Sven Thoß, who should tackle immediate promotion. Thoss previously coached Lok's women's teams. Leipzig and Tennis Borussia, but failed there because of the planned sporting goals. The 2010/11 season was finished second in the table, one point behind the champions USV Jena II. Thus, the women around coach Thoß narrowly missed the planned rise. However, the team was able to prevail in the Berlin Cup final against 1. FC Union Berlin 3-1 and thus qualified for the first round of the DFB Cup of the 2011/12 season.

In 2012 the first women's team of SV Blau-Weiss Hohen Neuendorf returned to the second women's Bundesliga north as a double winner in 2012 (regional league champion and Berlin cup winner). There, blue-white secured relegation in 2013 only in the relegation against 1. FFC Recklinghausen . A year later Hohen Neuendorf rose to the regional league after losing relegation against ETSV Würzburg . Since 1. FC Lübars withdrew their team voluntarily a few weeks later, Hohen Neuendorf remained second class.
