The second team has played in the Bayernliga since 2017/18 . The third team has been playing in the Middle Franconian regional league since the 2019/20 season . There are also several youth teams. In total, almost a hundred people are playing.
Game history
In the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons, as third place in the Bayernliga, the women's footballers of SV 67 Weinberg achieved promotion to the Regionalliga Süd for the first time with a 2nd place in the Bayernliga in the 2006/07 season. In their first season in the regional league, the young team (average age: 22 years) had to cope with the departure of two important pillars who had played a major role in the promotion to the new division. Christina Schellenberg and Sonja Kienzler switched to the women's department at FC Bayern Munich . However, this new challenge was mastered with a fifth place.
The 2008/09 season ended with a fourth place despite a few failures. With the win of the Bayern Cup with a 2-0 win against 1. FC Nürnberg in the semifinals and a 4-1 win against ETSV Würzburg in the final, you could even win a title and the associated participation in the 1st DFB Cup -Secure the main round in the new season. The third regional league season ended with second place in the table and only TSG 1899 Hoffenheim had to be given priority. In the 2010/11 season, the second place was achieved again, two points behind ETSV Würzburg, which was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South . In the final of the Bavarian Cup, however, they won against Würzburg 4-1.
In the following season 2011/12 the promotion was again just missed. On the last day of the match they had to admit defeat to SC Sand 0: 4, who thereby caught Weinberg and made the leap back into the second division after a year of absence. In the 2012/13 season, the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga was made clear by a 7: 1 against Eintracht Wetzlar on the penultimate matchday. With less than 1000 inhabitants, Weinberg is the smallest town in Germany with a Bundesliga team.
In the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons, relegation was secured in the 2nd Bundesliga South with a 9th and a 6th place. In 2016, the Weinbergers only came in tenth place. In the relegation against relegation, the team prevailed against Blau-Weiß Hohen Neuendorf (first leg 7: 1, second leg 3: 3) and was able to keep the class. The greatest sporting success so far is the move into the round of 16 in the DFB Cup 2016/17 against TSV Crailsheim . At the end of the season, however, the team relegated to the regional league, where they were runner-up behind Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2017/18 season and qualified for the second division, which was held for the first time in the 2018/19 season , via the promotion relegation .
Relegation was missed due to the worse goal difference compared to BV Cloppenburg .
