Maria Makowska (born January 25, 1969 in Wroclaw ) is a former Polish soccer player .

Career

Makowska began her career at the Pafawag Breslau club . Via the Stilon Gorzów club , she moved to Bundesliga club SSV Turbine Potsdam in 1996 . With Turbine she won the German championship as well as the DFB-Pokal and the indoor cup in 2004 . After the 2003/04 season, she received no new contract in Potsdam. After a season with the Slovenian club ŽNK Krka Novo mesto , she returned to Germany and played for Post SV Nürnberg , TSV Kleinschwarzenlohe and SV 67 Weinberg.

International

Makowska made her debut in the Polish national team in 1986. Since then she has made 111 appearances for Poland. She did not take part in world or European championships. Makowska was team captain for a long time and is currently the record player for the Polish national team .,

Private

Makowska is married and has one son. She works as a painter in a car workshop .
