history

After football had been played in Alberweiler since 1925, the DJK Alberweiler club was founded five years later . This was forcibly dissolved in 1934 after the National Socialists came to power . The SC Alberweiler was founded as the successor . The outbreak of World War II in 1939 interrupted the association's activities before the association was given its current name in 1947. In 1964 the club moved into its sports facility in Alberweiler . In addition to soccer, the club also offers women's gymnastics and sport for everyone.

In 1997 the club provided a girls' team for the first time. Six years later, the Alberweiler formed a women's team in a syndicate with SV Aßmannshardt . This rose to the regional league in 2011, before the Alberweiler women arrived in the fourth-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in 2015 after three consecutive promotions. A year later, the team reached the final of the Württemberg Cup for the first time and defeated TV Derendingen 2-0 there. This was the first time that SV Alberweiler qualified for the DFB Cup, where the team was clearly defeated by Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg with a score of 9-0. A year later, the team defended the Württemberg Cup with a 1-0 victory over the second team of VfL Sindelfingen and rose as champions of the Oberliga in the Regionalliga Süd. In the 2017/18 season , Alberweiler was third in the Regionalliga Süd and failed in the second round of the DFB Cup with 0: 3 at Bayern Munich . The Württemberg Cup was won again with a 4-0 final victory over FV Löchgau .

In 2011, the B-Juniors were promoted to the then first-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. A year later, the team qualified fourth for the newly created B-Juniors Bundesliga South. Thus, the B-Juniors are founding members of the B-Juniors Bundesliga South. The best season position in the B-Juniorinnen Bundesliga Süd so far was 2nd place in the 2018/2019 season. Kristin Kögel was the European champion with the U-17 national team at the 2016 Women's U-17 European Football Championship . On March 12, 2017, the B-Juniors in Wuppertal won the DFB Futsal Cup, which was held for the first time, by beating 1. FC Köln 3-0 in the final . The B-Juniors will be presented as youth team of the month August 2017 by the German Football Museum in Dortmund for one month with exhibits in a showcase. In 2019, the B-Juniors became South German champions in futsal for the first time in the club's history. Since the 2014/2015 season, the B-Juniors have won the Württemberg futsal championship title six times in a row and the Württemberg association cup title five times in a row.

The men's team of SV Alberweiler has played in the district league Riss since it was promoted in 2014.
