Matea Bošnjak (born December 21, 1997 in Laichingen ) is a Croatian soccer player . She is active for the Croatian national team .

Career

In the club

Bošnjak began her career at the age of four at TSV Laichingen and went to the U17 of FV Asch Sonderbuch 2000 in 2013. After two years, she moved to the association league for SV Alberweiler . At the age of 16 she made her debut for SV Alberweiler in the 2014/15 season and with 15 goals she contributed to the promotion to the league. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she moved to the women's Bundesliga relegated VfL Sindelfingen .

She joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen in August 2017 .

National team

Bošnjak was appointed to Croatia's senior national team for the first time in July 2014 and made her senior international debut at the Balaton Cup against Hungary. She had previously played nine international matches for the Croatian U19s.

Personal

The daughter of Croatian parents grew up in Laichingen and attended the Schickhardt Gymnasium in Stuttgart .
