Kristin Kögel (born September 21, 1999 in Neu-Ulm ) is a German national soccer player and U-20 player . She has been under contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen since July 2020 .
Career
societies
The only 1.55 m tall Kögel ran through all youth teams at TSV Neu-Ulm and attended the Anna-Essinger-Gymnasium Ulm . From the 2013/14 season she also played for SV Alberweiler in the south season of the B-Juniorinnen-Bundesliga , for which she scored 28 goals in 37 league games by the end of the 2015/16 season .
In the 2016/17 season she played 20 of 22 league games for VfL Sindelfingen in the South Season of the 2nd Bundesliga and scored two goals. She made her second division debut on August 28, 2016 (1st matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against TSV Crailsheim . A week earlier, she made her competitive debut when she was used in the first round of the DFB-Pokal competition in the 8-0 win over Alemannia Aachen and scored three goals.
From 2017 to 2020 she was under contract with FC Bayern Munich , for which she was mainly used in the second team . In her first season she played 20 games in the 2nd Bundesliga South and scored four goals. She made her debut in the first team on October 7, 2017 for one half in the second round match of the DFB Cup competition in a 3-0 victory over SV Alberweiler. She made her Bundesliga debut on September 29, 2019 (5th matchday) in a 4-0 win at home against MSV Duisburg from the start.
On July 14, 2020, Bayer 04 Leverkusen announced the signing of Kögel. She signed a two-year contract.
Selection / national team
Before she played four games for the 2015 national cup in the Württemberg U-18 national team, she played her first international match for the U-15 national team on April 23, 2014 , which was the friendly against the U-15 national team the Netherlands won 6-1, scoring their first goal with the goal of the final score in the 72nd minute. In the course of her national playing career, she played seven times in the U-16s , 13 times in the U-17 and seven times in the U-19 national team. During this time she took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2016 and the U-19 European Championship in 2017 . She is currently a member of the U-20 national team , with which she competed in the 2018 World Cup in France, appeared twice and scored one goal.
