Promotion and relegation regulation
- Promotion to the Regionalliga West
- For promotion to the Regionalliga West , the first and second placed are athletically qualified.
- Relegation from the Oberliga Westfalen
- The two bottom of the table descend into the respective season of the Westphalia League . With three or four relegated from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the three or four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. If there are five or more relegated members from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. The prerequisite for this is that two clubs in the upper league exercise their right to promotion to the regional league, otherwise the number of relegated teams increases to a maximum of six teams.
- Promotion to the Oberliga Westfalen
- The two champions rise from the two Westphalian leagues. If the number of 18 teams in the league is not reached, the runners-up in each season will play a play-off for an additional promoted player in the league if there is a free place.
