The 2013/14 season of the Oberliga Westfalen was the 32nd season of the Football Oberliga Westfalen and the second after its reintroduction by the organizing Football and Athletics Association Westphalia (FLVW) as the fifth highest division in Germany. The season began on August 16, 2013 and ended with the last game day on June 8, 2014 .
On matchday 29, Arminia Bielefeld II was able to secure the championship early. For the Bielefelder Reserve it was the second championship title after 2004 . With 86 points, DSC Arminia was able to equalize the previous record of the FC Schalke 04 Amateurs from the 02/03 season . Despite the outstanding sporting season, the team was not eligible for promotion because Arminia Bielefeld's professional team will be competing in the third division for the 2014/15 season . The only newcomer is the runner-up SV Rödinghausen , who has been promoted since the 30th matchday. Rödinghausen achieved the fifth ascent in a row and was only the fourth team to march through the Oberliga Westfalen.
TuS Dornberg was the first to be relegated to the Westphalia League on matchday 31. The relegation of TuS Heven was sealed on the 34th matchday.
Two encounters with the participation of SpVgg Erkenschwick went into the record lists of the Oberliga Westfalen . The 5: 5 against FC Eintracht Rheine, together with a game in the 2007/08 season, was the highest-scoring draw in the history of the Westphalian league. The game FC Gütersloh 2000 against SpVgg Erkenschwick ended 5-8 and was the highest-scoring game of the Oberliga Westfalen of all time, along with an encounter in the 1985/86 season . With Stefan Oerterer, who scored 33 goals, SpVgg Erkenschwick is also the top scorer in the league.

Promotion and relegation regulation
- Promotion to the Regionalliga West
- For promotion to the Regionalliga West , the first and second placed are athletically qualified.
- Relegation from the Oberliga Westfalen
- The two bottom of the table descend into the respective season of the Westphalia League . With three or four relegated from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the three or four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. If there are five or more relegated members from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. The prerequisite for this is that two clubs in the upper league exercise their right to promotion to the regional league, otherwise the number of relegated teams increases to a maximum of six teams.
- Promotion to the Oberliga Westfalen
- The two champions rise from the two Westphalian leagues. If the number of 18 teams in the league is not reached, the runners-up in each season will play a play-off for an additional promoted player in the league if there is a free place.
