The hackers-Wiehe Stadium (short Wiehe Stadium ) in Röding Hauser district Schwenningdorf is the football stadium of the third division SV Rödinghausen . The stadium name is a reference to its location near the Wiehengebirge and to the owner Häcker Küchen , who is also the main sponsor of SV Rödinghausen.

Building history

In 2009 the "senior boss" of the Rödinghauser company Häcker Küchen Horst Finkemeier announced the will to develop the local sports field of SV Rödinghausen, which was still playing in the district league A in the 2009/2010 season, into a stadium. In 2009 an artificial turf side court was first built. During the planning phase, the division of tasks and financing between the municipality, the investor and the association were contractually agreed. A dispute arose in the council of the Rödinghausen community over the design of the contracts , which initially escalated to the point that Finkemeier withdrew his offer. After the local elections in mid-2009 , the SPD parliamentary group in favor of the stadium was able to regain its absolute majority in the council, so that the project finally found a majority in the council. Construction of the stadium began in April 2010. The first game took place in November 2010 in the stadium, which was still under construction at the time. The stadium was provisionally prepared for the cup match against SC Verl . The official opening followed in August 2011. A donation in favor of the association and the community that was promised in the planning phase has not yet been implemented. As of mid-2012, the owner of the system is still the company Häcker Kitchens. At the beginning of the 2013/14 league season , the grandstand was expanded to include an annex, which includes additional functional and sanitary rooms as well as another beer stand. In April 2014 the stadium received a 4.6 m by 2.9 m LED display board .

In order to comply with the regional league's licensing regulations, the stadium was expanded to include a fenced-in standing stand on the back straight for the 2014/15 season , which has separate access for visiting fans. The capacity of the uncovered standing stand, which was completed in July 2014, is around 950 spectators. This increases the stadium capacity to around 3140 seats. Rotation bands were installed along the back straight .

After the Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion in Herford , the Wiehenstadion is the second largest stadium in the Herford district .

Building description

The facility is designed as a pure football stadium without a running track . The seating capacity is around 3,140 spectators, 1,489 of which are seated and 400 are standing on the fully covered grandstand. The building consists of the main stand with the covered seats and the uncovered standing stand that can hold around 950 spectators along the back straight. 8. a b c d e After the standing room was completed in July 2014, there is still no updated capacity officially announced by the club. Capacity is therefore based on an estimate: 90 m × 4 steps × 2 standing places per step meter + 95 m × 1.2 m × 2 standing places per m² on the area in front of the first step. Total: 948 standing places. Of the previously 600 uncovered standing spaces on three sides (spread over approx. 200 m), the construction of the grandstand means that 300 standing spaces (standing around 100 m long) are no longer available. Overall, the current stadium capacity increased from 2,489 visitors so net by about 648 standing on now about 3140 seats (2489 + 648 = 3137).
