Irene Vogt

Irene Vogt (* 15. April 1956 in Feldkirch as Irene Bildstein ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and employees. From 1994 to 1996 she was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

After elementary school in Feldkirch, Vogt attended secondary school in Feldkirch and then completed an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman at Radio Lampert from 1972 to 1975. She then worked from 1975 to 1984 in Liechtenstein and Austria as an employee in the hospitality industry and was then a housewife until 1994. Between 1995 and 1998 she ran her own restaurant with the “Bildstein” or “Pick Up” café, after which she was either unemployed or in professional training. She held several short-term jobs between 1999 and 2005 and was employed by an IT company from 2005 to 2007. In 2007 she joined the Feldkirch State Hospital.

Politics and functions

Vogt was active as chairwoman of the Feldkirch Wirteverein between 1993 and 1998 and became a member of the Freedom Party of Austria in 1994. She was sworn in on October 4, 1994 as a member of the Feldkirch constituency in the Vorarlberg state parliament, where she acted as the area spokesperson for youth and tourism within the freedom club. She was also a member of the Agriculture Committee, a member of the Culture Committee, a member of the Social Policy Committee and a substitute member of the Committees for Economics, Energy, Environment and the Ombudsman's Office. Vogt, however, resigned from the state parliament after two years on September 30, 1996 by renouncing his mandate. She justified her waiver of the mandate with an excessive workload.

She was also a substitute member of the Feldkirch city council from April 1995 to April 2000 and a member of the cultural, social, agricultural and forestry committee and left the FPÖ again in 2001.

Private

Vogt was born as the daughter of pastry chef Karlheinz Bildstein and his wife Klara Bildstein. In 1986 she married the technical draftsman Fridolin Vogt from Liechtenstein, but divorced again in 2004. In 1984 she became the mother of a son.
