Margarethe Paul

Margarethe Paul (partly also: Margarete Paul ; born November 13, 1902 in Salzwedel , † after 1976) was a German functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . She was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR.

Life

Paul was born the daughter of a master carpenter. She attended elementary school in Salzwedel and worked as a saleswoman in Altenbrak (Harz) from 1926 to 1929 . After that she was a housewife .

In 1947 she joined the Democratic Women's Association of Germany (DFD) and in 1948 the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). From 1947 to 1948 she was community representative in Altenbrak and from 1948 to 1950 she was chairwoman of the Blankenburg (Harz) local board of the DFD and district woman officer of the NDPD in Blankenburg. From 1950 she was a member of the NDPD district committee in Magdeburg , from 1951 she was chairwoman of the Magdeburg district peace council. In 1949 she joined the Society for German-Soviet Friendship , in 1950 the Kulturbund and in 1952 the Society for Sport and Technology . From 1952 to 1954 she worked as a culture instructor for the DFD district association in Magdeburg . From 1958 she was a member of the NDPD district committee in Magdeburg.

From 1950 to 1963 Paul was a member of the People's Chamber.
